Primary Job Function: Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform maintenance, repair and adjustment on all refrigeration, HVAC, and air compressor equipment in plant. Perform standard preventative maintenance procedures on above systems.
Job Responsibilities:
    1.       Determines and obtains parts, materials, and tools required and carries to worksite.
    2.       Fills out requisitions, time cards, completes work orders, etc.
*  3.       Diagnoses complex HVAC problems.
*  4.       Performs complex HVAC tasks - includes dismantle, clean, paint, repair, fabricate, assemble, etc.

               - Equipment breakdown
               - Equipment preventive maintenance
               - Facility breakdown
               - Facility preventive maintenance
*  5.       Interprets manufacturer manuals/blueprints/layouts/etc.
*  6.       Checks for and repairs refrigerant leaks.
*  7.       Monitors running condition of HVAC, boiler, and air compressor equipment by recording and keeping logbooks.
*  8.       Installs and repairs steam, water, compressed air, and HVAC piping systems. removes obsolete piping systems.
*  9.       Inspects equipment for misalignment, wear, lubrication, etc.
*  10.     Adjusts equipment to proper specification/tolerance.
    11.     Installs/assembles new equipment.
    12.     Dismantles/skids equipment for storage or relocation.
    13.     Installs/wires relocated equipment.
*  14.     Erects scaffolds and rigging.
*  15.     Operates powered equipment - pallet jacks, lift trucks, personnel lifts, etc.
*  16.     Subject to emergency call in as necessary. 
    17.      Participates in on-site and off-site training as offered.
*  18.     Performs all work per safety/personal protection/equipment lockout procedure/etc. requirements/
    19.     Disposes of waste/old parts/packaging/etc. per plant Environmental and recycling procedures.
    20.     Maintains shop area housekeeping.
    21.     Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Mandatory requirements: Must have high school diploma or GED.  Must also have had 5 years' experience of HVAC or equivalent position with previous experience in industrial HVAC repair and troubleshooting.

This is a 1st shift position.

Limited weekend work is required only as necessary.
