PRIMARY FUNCTION:   Plans and schedules assigned production area(s) to meet customer demand.  Collaborates with Demand Planning, Production, Purchasing, and any other needed areas to ensure accurate dates are established, raw materials are available, and production schedules are met.  Monitor available capacity and communicate any constraints to the interested parties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
*1.Schedule assigned production departments utilizing raw/input materials, available operators, and available equipment.
*2.Verify raw material availability to meet schedule requirements. Enter Distribution Orders (DO) between warehouses to ensure no production wait time.  Order any support materials necessary to meet schedule requirements (e.g. reeds).
*3.Utilize M3 (MRP system) to generate production schedules, distribution orders, calculate MRP, any other function deemed necessary to meet customer demand and delivery dates.
*4.Advise and document to departments and manager any changes or issues that may develop.

Maintain collaborative relationships with Demand Planning, peer Schedulers, Purchasing, and all plant personnel.
Participate in and drive continuous improvement in the area of Scheduling and assigned areas.

(X)STANDING-May be up to 10 hours per day on wood or concrete floor.
(X)SITTING-As required to perform assigned task. Frequency may be up to 50 times per shift. May be continuous sitting for 10 hours per shift.
(X)MOVING-Throughout department, may also be requested to visit other departments or to conduct official business as directed by job or by immediate manager. Frequency may be up to 16 times per shift and travel may be up to 1200 feet in one direction.
(X)CLIMBING-As required to move from one level to another. Frequency depends on assignment, but may be up to 30 times per shift. Required to climb stairs.
(X)LIFTING-Some lifting may be required up to 20 lbs.
(X)PUSHING/PULLING-File drawers throughout day.
(X)REACHING-Reaching to perform task at hand throughout day. Mainly paperwork and may be up to 1000 times per day.
(X)VISUAL ACUITY-Preparing data and entering information into computer. Minimum of 20/40 correctable eyesight.
(X)BENDING/STOOPING-Depending on job assignment, the frequency may be up to 100 times per shift performing general office duties.

ENVIRONMENTAL/SAFETY RISK REQUIREMENTS:  Exposure to fiberglass, fly, dust, finishing fumes or other chemicals. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required, based on job assignment.
PREREQUISITES:  High School Diploma or Equivalent. Knowledge of personal computer and other office equipment.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:  Required to learn various software on the personal computer. Work with ERP/MRP – M3/Infor.
