Primary Function:
Responsible for overseeing all processes of routing and releasing domestic and export shipping orders. Utilize 3PL to determine best LTL and dedicated carriers and schedule pickups according to customer delivery requirements. Work with 3PL team to schedule and monitor expedited freight and air shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Communicates with LTL and dedicated carriers as needed. Supports Warehouse Team help resolve logistics issues and ensure shipments are picked up on time. Provides Warehouse supervisor and manager with critical logistics information to ensure product is pulled and ready to ship on time. Provides sales and customer service with domestic and export freight quotes. Responsible for preparing yearly NAFTA documentation and review export shipments for ITAR Compliance. Also responsible for filing transportation damage claims with LTL carriers.
Job Responsibilities:

Machines, Tools, and Equipment used: General office equipment, personal computer and software pertaining to job.
Environmental/Safety Risk: Exposure to fiberglass, fly, dust, finishing fumes or other chemicals. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required, based on job assignment.
Physical Requirements:
Activity Frequency, Amount, or Description
(x) Standing: 4 – 6 hours per 8-hour shift on wood or concrete floor.
(x) Sitting: As required to perform administrative duties.
(x) Moving (Self): Throughout the plant/warehouse as needed
(x) Climbing: Stairs as required to move from one area to another
(x) Moving Materials: Lifting: As required to assist employees in their performance of jobs. May lift objects weighing up to 70 lbs. with assistance, up to 8 times per 8-hour shift.
(x) Pushing/Pulling: Objects to assist employee in running job. Frequency may be up to 500 times per shift. Some objects may weigh up to 2000 pounds; to be moved with assistance using equipment provided.
(x) Hearing/Speaking: As needed to communicate in person and by telephone with employees, customers, and suppliers.
(x) Reaching: To shoulder level to retrieve documents from file cabinets.
(x) Visual Acuity: 20/40 corrected distant vision. 20/30 corrected near vision.
(x) Bending/Stooping: To floor level as needed for inspection

Job Responsibilities:
- Routing all Prepaid Shipments through Transplace and updating orders for shipment (Domestic and FOB container loads)
- Schedule trucks and provide shipping info for Altavista and Blue Ridge plants
- Coordinate with Transplace to expedite rush shipments
- Track Domestic and Export shipments
- Daily update Transplace TMS system with shipment info
- Book all LCL outbound customer shipments
- Book all outbound customer containers (Customer Shipments & Bobbin Returns)
- Review Cytec China forecast of future container shipments
- Get domestic and export freight quotes for sales
- Communicate with customers, customer service, freight forwarders and dray companies
- Maintain files of Export Documentation (keep 10 years)
- Gather duty drawback paperwork on Export shipments
- Process export shipping documents for all BGF locations
- File all shipping BOLs (keep 10 years)
- Prepare Canadian Custom Documents
- File transportation damage claims
- Respond to customer inquiries as needed
- Prepare yearly customer documentation for NAFTA
- Perform other duties as requested by Management
- Must have at least 2 years Domestic & Export Shipping Experience
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Must have strong PC and email skills
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
